In February of 2016, CCN mobilized to raise awareness and transport over 10,000 bottles of clean drinking water to the people of Flint, MI, whose water supply had been contaminated by lead. We met with several national agencies, discussed policy with local congressional leaders and participated in a national conference along with Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha and Dr. Vivek Murthy, Surgeon General, to discuss long term efforts to address the public health crisis in Flint and in other communities affected, as well.
